Medal Dash and Make-A-Wish: A Four-Year Partnership of Hope’

Over the past four years, Medal Dash has partnered with Make-A-Wish to bring joy to children with critical illnesses. Through virtual run/walk events, Medal Dash has engaged with thousands globally on specific events, donating a portion of registration fees to Make-A-Wish.

This initiative has highlighted Medal Dash's commitment to social responsibility and community involvement. The partnership has granted numerous wishes, offering joy and respite to children and their families during challenging times. This collaboration exemplifies how corporate partnerships can create lasting positive impacts, with each participant's registration directly contributing to making wishes come true and inspiring hope in those who need it most.

  • make a wish granted - tori who wanted the ultimate dream playhouse as her wish

Our first wish comes from 6 year old Tori W.in Huntsville, TX who was diagnosed with a brain tumor in 2017 and faced other critical illnesses along the way. Tori loves baking and wished for a playhouse so she could bake her very own mudpies and spend time with her sister. On the afternoon of her reveal a limo brought Tori and her family home where the ultimate dream playhouse was revealed.

  • make a wish granted - Mariana who wanted a tropical beach vacation as her wish

Our second wish comes from 18 year old Mariana. Originally from Guatemala, she moved to Houston, TX with her mom after being diagnosed with leukemia. Between routine hospital visits and chemotherapy treatment, Mariana dreamed of being reunited with her siblings and dad on a tropical beach vacation. When approached by Make-A-Wish to have her one wish come true, Mariana wished to visit Hawaii with her family. Once in Hawaii, Mariana and her family went hiking, attended a luau and even had the chance to swim with dolphins!

  • Make a wish granted - 8 year old Kindi from Baytown Texas who had a wish to visit disney

Our third wish comes from 8-year-old Kindi in Baytown, TX. Kindi battles cystic fibrosis, but that doesn't stop her from enjoying her favorite activity--running. She loves being outside and tracking her weekly miles. When she's not running, she loves gymnastics, doing her hair and make-up and playing with her Yorkie, Buzz.
When it came to having her wish granted, Kindi knew that she wanted to experience the magic only a place like Disney World can offer! She had the most incredible trip with her family and wore the biggest smile on her face each day. Kindi's Mom shared that they are "forever grateful" for the time spent together and memories made on this trip!

  • Our fourth wish comes from 17-year-old Wish Kid Nicholas “Nick” is obsessed with shoes! He loves all brands, but particularly Jordans and Nikes. He buys, displays, collects, and of course, wears them! When Nick learned he would have a wish granted by Make A-Wish Texas Gulf Coast and Louisiana, he wished to go to the Flight Club in NYC, because it is the most popular shoe store, and he’s always wanted to check it out. Nick had an amazing time in New York City and didn’t want to come back! Nick spent the majority of his wish trip exploring all the city had to offer, especially the sports scene! Of course, his favorite part was visiting Flight Club. Nick loved immersing himself in the shoe world and picking out some sneakers for himself as well!
